On behalf of GhentCDH Steering Committee Member, Federica Bressan, we are happy to announce the Second International Workshop on Digital Philology for the Preservation of Multimedia Archives, which will take place on Tuesday 18th October 2016 at Villa Contarini - Fondazione G.E. Ghirardi in Piazzola sul Brenta, Italy.
The workshop brings together experts across the humanities and hard sciences to discuss the role of digital philology in the preservation of multimedia cultural heritage. Dietrich Schüller from the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme, will deliver the keynote lecuture entitled "Audiovisual documents: between information carriers and objects of art".
