Central Database of Historical Stastistics in Belgium. Database of microstatistics 1801-1970. HISSTAT aims to generate and develop a central database of historical statistics. This database will bring together statistics from Belgian municipalities since the French period. The project is designed to protect, utilise and make accessible a multitude of historical censuses in Belgium for diverse applications and for the public at large. The central database has a data system that enables the processing of digital statistics and the creation of maps.
