DARIAH-BE launches in Antwerp

DARIAH, the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities is a pan-European research infrastructure which aims to enhance and support digitally-enabled research and teaching across the humanities and arts by offering a portfolio of services and activities that directly benefit researchers in their everyday work. Belgium is a Founding Member of DARIAH-EU.

On Friday 27 November, together with the Digital Humanities Research Community Flanders we would like to invite you to the DARIAH-BE Kick-off meeting to be held at the University of Antwerp. The aim of this meeting is to bring together colleagues from across Belgium to find out more about what DARIAH is and how you can get involved.

We will be joined by DARIAH-EU's Chief Integration Officer, Henk Harmsen who coordinates the collection of in-kind contributions from DARIAH Members. He will share with us how Belgian colleagues can participate in DARIAH-EU. Toma Tasovac, Director of the Belgrade Center for Digital Humanities and DARIAH National Coordinator for the Republic of Serbia will also join us. Toma will share his experience as Co-Principal Investigator of the Erasmus+ funded DARIAH Teach project, which is developing open-source, high quality, multilingual teaching materials for the digital arts and humanities.

Additionally, there will be opportunity for colleagues from across Belgium to present their digital arts and humanities activities.

The final programme for the day is available on the DARIAH-BE website. If you are unable to join us, please follow the event on Twitter @DARIAHbe and #dariahbe.
